I want to be all that you are
Hold you close and be your star
Be the hope when you're in rome
Be the light to guide you home
Come home
Let me wait up with you
Shed the wrong and start anew
Hold my breath and lie awake
Be the light at harbours gate
I'll wait
Under green arbors I will flee
Crackled voice I cannot see
Thanks for calling me
Oh I didn't want to send for you,
But I had to
I can't seem to get a grip but
I need to!
I try and I try but its always the same
I c an't seem to cough up your name
Its just not fucking fair
I rub my eyes but still
You're not there
You're not there
You're not there
Ocean gaze from freckled eyes
I'm so sick I've realized
Across the valleys I would climb
Bruised feet and wasted time
Here I am
Here I am
Here I am
Take me as I am
Come to me in silent dream
I couldn't bear to here you speak
Well... Like some people here, I never really liked that song! However, this is *so* much better than the original, for all the reasons already listed by deluded_marxist! The depth of feelings here, especially from the vocals but also the slow music, really is on a whole other level! Thanks to Tara Tantrum for taking me here! Highly recommended!!! bmurator
The NYC trio push their blown-out garage-blues sound into new territory, on both reinterpreted classics and originals. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 5, 2019
An almost anti-blues/anti-rock style that masters classic sounds while mocking the industry’s perceived seriousness. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 27, 2018
I happened upon Tuba Skinny and Erika L buskin’ in New Orleans on YouTube! I have Loved them ever since and play their albums daily! As a musician and band member in Canada, I can say that Tuba Skinny and their soulful renditions touched my soul in ways that have uplifted my life. We in the “great White North” can only dream of making New Orleans jazz like T S. Long Live Tuba Skinny and may their music become world wide for the enjoyment of all!! Davey1
